Chair Massage

I have been providing chair massage to the greater Bay Area since 1997. I bring massage music as well as a specialized massage chair to provide a pleasant atmosphere for your employees or your guests. I can provide you with one therapist (myself) or several to your business or group function.

I have served clients such as Sutter Health - Vallejo, Chateau Three - Pleasant Hill, The Watershed Nursery - Pt. Richmond, and my client’s home's.

My rates are $70 an hour 2 hour minimum.

Depending on how far the event is from my office. I may need to charge a small travel expense.

Techniques I Use in my Chair massage

The massage is given in a specially designed ergonomic chair to alleviate tension in the neck, shoulders and back. I use Acupressure, Trigger Point Therapy and Shiatsu techniques. Chair massage is performed at your place of business and the massage is given with the clothing on.

Reasons to provide chair massage to your employees and friends.

1) Chair massage can alleviate tension and help increase a person’s productivity.

Studies by the Touch Research Institute in Miami, Florida, show that the benefits of chair massage have quick results. Immediately after massage sessions, the subjects experienced a change in brain waves in the direction of heightened alertness and better performance on math problems (completed in less time with fewer errors).

At the end of the five-week study period, subjects reported reduced job stress and elevated moods. This was in addition to the usual benefits of massage, relief of muscular tension, revitalized energy, and a stronger immune system.

The study’s findings are significant in that the International Labor Organization stated in its 1993 World Labor Report that job stress costs
the U.S. economy $200 billion annually through diminished productivity, compensation claims, absenteeism, health insurance, and direct medical expenses.

2) As an employee reward or party favor.

After a stressful and demanding project, contract for a day of chair massage to show your appreciation for a job well done; substitute congratulations in the office newsletter after a strong fiscal quarter with a sign-up in the break room for a complimentary chair massage.

Give your friends a present at your party or special event.

3) Chair massage can be performed in the workplace or at any location that is semi private and quiet.

Your employees or guests will be seated upright on a special massage chair and will remain fully clothed. No oils are used, so there is no need for them to be concerned about stains on clothing. The session generally lasts from ten to twenty minutes. The chair is lightweight and portable, enabling it to be set up in virtually any room.
